An announcement for the major expansion was made by Apple on Tuesday for the introduction of iTunes store in more than 56 nations worldwide. Apple has almost doubled its figure by introducing iTunes in these countries. Some of the nations that are now under the range of the company are India, Russia, turkey and South Africa. The figure has now reached a new height of 119 countries where the iTunes stores are available.
Combo of local artists with the international superstars
Apple has also announced the role of local artists in their respective countries in addition to the international artists who were already the part of its campaign previously. Some of the local artists who were listed by the company were A.R Rahman in India, SezenAksu of Turkey, Elka of Russia and Zahara of South Africa. The company is continuing its relation with international superstars such as Coldplay and The Beatles in addition to the local artists. The iTunes store is the storage cell of more than 20 million songs in addition to the large number of movies and videos which are available for purchase or rent.
Users across the 119 nations are also allowed to have access to the company’s Application stores as well. The Apple App store is a collection of more than 70,000 applications and is already available in over 155 nations worldwide.
ITunes 11 launched
The expansion, iTunes 11 which is the latest version music software from Apple was announced just after the introduction of iTunes. The latest version has made a change in the older left hand bar and has shifted radio and playlists on the top menu. A new drop down menu which is just below the “Music” icon has also been introduced which has been made for the easy access of movies, podcasts, TV shows and shared libraries. The latest introduction from Apple is an improved interface with much better performance than the previous version.
